22oz bomber bought in Seattle and lugged back to the Maryland. Unfiltered orange brown color. Im pretty impressed by this beer, plenty of malt depth coupled with a solid West Coast hop dosage. Sweet and creamy, tastes mildly Ambery. A quality, well done beer.

fresh crisp mildly spicy hop aroma, beautiful light gold with a tall reaching creamy head. for a beer of this style, how do you rate the palate higher? it’s not supposed to be complex with much hops on the finish, right? anyway i loved the quick peak of caramel and brown sugar up front which was quickly met with a hop balance and just as quickly disappeared into a clean dry finish. I’d like to try this against other hellers.

Oak aged version, GABF 2004. Strange light peppermint aroma. Orange, no head. Taste is dry, very earthy. Some esters. Alcohol notes come through strong but good.

Nice, malty aroma, a dark amber color, a white head, with moderate retention, and fair lacing. Smooth up front with a nicely bitter back end. I liked this a lot. Tasted at the Oregon Brewers Festival 5/27/02

Deep golden color, with a orange hue. Tropical fruits, apples, oranges, pineapples nose. Sweet malty mouth, pineapples, cherries, oranges and an interesting yeasty character that I can’t put my finger on. Malty tropical fruit finish. yum

(650ml bottle) Sampled with Oakes at the Pan Pacific Hotel. Huge cloudy almond head with a highly carbonated deep orange body. Nose of Seville orange seeds. Flavour is incredibly orangey and syrupy. Lasting citrus finish. Very tastey and balanced malt and hops.

Tried this at the Elysian bar in Seattle. Orange amber color with very nice lacing. Aroma is mild but sweet. Full bodied and easy drinking. Very well made. Flavor is sweet with that nice boch character in the finish.

Enjoyable. crisp, sweet, with some nice floral notes as well. A decent version of a spring bock. Crisp and clean.
