I found the nose to be subtle with the jasmine but it came through with some of the hop pine. It poured a light gold with good beading and a persistent head. The flavour was very sweet, hiding the alcohol. The jasmine is there but then quickly dissipates as the other ingredients take over.

22oz Bottle thanks to riversideAK. Pours hazy golden orange with a frothy off-white head. Nice head retention. Lively carbonation. Aroma is of earthy hops, caramel, malt, and floral notes. Taste is of earthy and dirty hops, with lots of what I assume is jasmine. Sort of taste like a bag of potpouri was tossed in the mix. Backbone of caramel malt. Mouthfeel is heavily carbonated and fizzy like a soda. Each sip ends with a very bitter, oily hop bite. Takes a few sips to get used to, but it’s a very good beer with a strange floral taste.

Draft at RNH AKA Batch 2000. Pours a dark amber body with a tan head. Banana, clove, and candy sugar notes. Willy wonka’s banana candies, sweet notes and some lighter spices in the background.

draft at the pike street pub. brewed as their 2000th batch. pours a murky burnished dark amber with a dense creamy, short lived head. big nose of floral jasmine, sweet pine hop, and butter. phooey to the butter. thick body, carb rises oh so slowly. lovely sweet mid palate of jasmine, pine, and caramel. long resin finish. big and interesting.

22oz bottle acquired in trade with riversideAK (thanks!). Poured a medium and clear amberish color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of jasmine flowers, floral, caramel, some breadiness, and herbal. Tastes of jasmine, citrus, caramel, and I wrote down ’different’. Different but I was digging it. On the sweeter side with the alcohol content hidden.

Clear amber/light copper, small head with a bit of lacing. Aggressive jasmine, compacted and dry, but not in a brittle way. Throw in some honey too. I’m intrigued by the rush and height of the unique flavors present. ASA? IIPA? SHV? I really don’t know. The floral jasmine hits me up front and quickly gives to a dense heavy crystal malt base that overtakes most of the hops that try to come out in the finish with orange peel and lavender.

On tap at Naked City. Pours hazy orange amber with a nice off-white head. Huge aroma of jasmine, floral hops, caramel, and strawberry cotton candy. Tastes like that but not as strong. Nice thick mouthfeel. I was surprised how much I liked this. One of the highlights of Seattle Beer Week.

22oz bottle. Deep golden/almost amber with thin head. Tons of floral jasmine in the aroma and taste. Light bready malt sweetness mixes well with the floral tastes and an assertive bitterness. Very nicely done...drinkable, unique and really damn enjoyable. The original Avatar is a solid summer drinker, but this is just a whole different world.
