Aroma was not IPA like at all, slight hop and Jasmine, but not as much as I expected for an IPA. Flavor was more pale ale like and I could slightly detect the floral jasmine quality. Drinkable but not much wow factor. tgncc (843), Bellmore, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 4, 2009 Pleasant aroma of bubble-gum/fruit, flowers, especially jasmine, hops. Clear amber appearance, white head. The flavors are malty, fruity (like a fruit cocktail) seguing quckly into a floral hoppy flavor toward the back. Hops are mild in this one. Wierd for an IPA, but on the other hand, flowers like heather were once used in lieu of hops in brewing. The finish is mainly floral hops, which leave a noticeable and lingering hop sting on the palate. Medium mouthfeel. Good overall, interesting and different. Worth trying for the novelty of it. I could knock back a few of these. Glouglouburp (2877), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jan 22, 2009 In short: An intense tisane with bubbles and alcohol. Original for sure but quickly gets annoying and really not my thing.
How: Bottle 22oz, consumed soon after purchase, tasting session with Montreal crew
The look: Almost clear golden body topped by a small beige head
In long: I’m not that familiar with the jasmine flower per say but this beer has a lot of tisane floral character (certainly the said jasmine). Unusual tisane nose but not really unpleasant, just a bit offsetting. Taste has way too much of that tisane character, especially in the finish. Some sugary cereals is about the only other flavour I could pick under that avalanche of floral tisane. Pretty gross, the only avatar more repulsive I know is MartinT’s picture of himself. decaturstevo (2007), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 18, 2009 Aroma of fruitiness and very little hops. A slight hazed orange pour. An odd almost orange peal bitter. Medium bodied and slightly fizzy carbonation. Odd beer, drinkable but an ipa? pivo (2537), Germany
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 18, 2009 Soap-like aroma, gold color. Sweet Pez-like flavor, light spicy end. Dissappointing hopping on this: it is an IPA after all. Good balance for what they were shooting for overall, but I really get turned off by perfumy beers. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 17, 2009 I didn’t think this would be very good. Turns out, it was. Floral characteristics of Jasmine, but not in any offensive way. So unique and well made that I brought a bottle home with me. checkmatei1 (630), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 16, 2009 Draft at Capone’s: Poured a golden color with a thin head. The aroma was flowers and hops. The flavor was grass, hops, jasmine, and a way too powerful flowery taste. Overall, I wasn’t much of a fan of this one. YogiBeera (2437), Hamburg, Germany

Intense bitter - who wonder- Jasmine nose. Herbal grassy taste. I gotta say- I’m not fond of Jasmine !
