JCB (1124), Durham, USA Sep 19, 2008 22oz from Bottletrek. Wow, this is a really pleasant surprise. After a slightly tedious pour - big cloying head refused to settle down, making it a time-consuming endeavor - this turned out to be a very rich and flavorful IPA. Big nose is dominated by the floral notes, not surprisingly. At first the hops are very grassy, with some slightly sticky flavors towards the end. But very soon, the springlike flavors meld beautifully with the light hops, balanced by the subtle sweet jasmine and malts to give this brew a distinctive quality that really recalls a bright spring day. Excellent.

The flavor is more subdued and a floral hop quality is allowed to shine, with a slight jasmine presence. good mouthfeel and decent drinkability. A very intersting take on the style and totally worth trying. Ibrew2or3 (1910), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Oct 23, 2008 OTH tasting 09/06/08. Bomber pours clear copper with thin white head. The aroma is sweet Jasmine infused with faint vague hoppiness. The taste has a nice blending of Jasmine, mild pine hops and citrus hops backed up by a consistent sweet maltiness. It ends kind of dry with lingering Jasmine tea and sweet malts. This brew is bold in its Jasmine and malty sweetness but seems to lack a firm hop presence, which it really needs. I’d love to try a hoppier version of this. Skinnyviking (2971), Copenhagen, Denmark Oct 20, 2008 Draught. Low fluffy white and quickly disappearing head. Clear golden body. Mild and yet hoppy jasmine floral aroma and flavor with low carbonation and a short aftertaste. Tmoney99 (3740), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Oct 13, 2008 Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a hazy copper color with an average off-white head that lasted and produced good lacing. Good floral, earthy hoppy and herbs aroma. Medium body with a slick texture. Moderate Jasmine bittersweet flavor with a moderate smooth bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good brew with spicy food. LilBeerDoctor (733), East Setauket, New York, USA Oct 11, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear dirty orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is quite fruity and flowery (lots of jasmine I suppose, although I’m not exactly sure what jasmine smells like on its own but it’s probably what I’m smelling). Flavor is similarly jasmine-flowery, almost perfume-ish tasting, with a slightly bitter finish. Some tropical fruits emerge as the beer warms. This is pretty decent but a little sweet and too jasminey for me.
