A clear, medium-golden amber body is strewn with turbulent, swirling, effervescing streams of micro-bubbles. The carbonation pools into a massive, dense, spongy head of off-white foam. Thick, cloud-like gobs of foamy lace glue themselves to the glass. Aromas start out sweet and bready, like many tripels, with a candy sugar base, spiced with orange peel, coriander, and floral hops. Flavors follow suit, sweet and sugary throughout, with an estery citrus and floral character, and a delicate hop spiciness. The substantial body feels sweet and sugary in the mouth, finishing dry and yeasty, typical of the style. This is too sweet for me, but not bad overall. Snojerk321 (2021), San Diego, California, USA

Nose of citrus, banana, yeast, had a good hop presence as well. I liked that the flavor of this brew was not so much of the standard triple variety, not as much yeast but a bit more hop bitterness on the finish. bb (2930), Martinez, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 7, 2008 Draft. Amber beer with a nice whitish head. Light malt aroma. malt, yeast, and peppery spice flavor. Medium bodied. Finishes dry. Spice and yeast linger with some light earthiness. trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 6, 2008 Pours hazy gold with a thick whtie head. Straw, grass, pears, and spice in the nose. Dry, crisp taste up front, then moves into a sweeter yeast and apples combination. More of the sugar and the spicy Goldings come out as the beer warms. Not really the trippel I was expecting, kind of has a farmhouse quality. Taverner (880), San Ramon, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 22, 2008 This one is dry at first, but ends on a sweet finish. The nose is of grassy hops and a slightly metallic flavor. I can taste honey in there somewhere too. riversideAK (2792), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 6, 2008 Golden pour with a huge fluffy head. The aroma is mostly of sweet pears and apple spice with a touch of buttery popcorn which I found a touch odd. The flavors are similar with nice fruitiness, pear, apple. Some yeasty spice comes through as does a light pleasant spicy hop finish. Interesting for style I think. skoisirius (584), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 24, 2008 On tap and in bombers many times in and around Seattle. This beauty pours a lovely golden blonde with a fluffy white head. The aroma off this guy is super Belgian yeasty with light fruit tones and bits of spices thrown about. The flavor continues this a bit with a solid carbonated body like a trippel, yet there is a bit more going on. Light grass notes amongst the forward hop and spice presence exist. Fairly sweet all the while...somehow this guy falls in between a Saison, a Trippel, and a Belgian Wit...good stuff! maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA
