Commercial Description:
Deceptive and delicious Belgian-style Tripel. Bete Blanche is extremely drinkable, blonde and somewhat treacherous. Brewed entirely from pale malt and augmented in the boil with Turbinado sugar. Bittered with German Northern Brewer and finished with Styrian Goldings hops. Fermented with mixed Belgian and American ale yeasts

22oz bottle: pours a golden orange color with an off white head. A very light fruity belgian spiced aroma green apples and orange. The flavor is wheaty, yeasty, orangy, honey and sour. Not a bad tripel but its not amazing by any means.

Hazy orange with nice white head. Smells of various spices and some funk. Yeasty taste with good carbonation. Slight sour aftertaste, but not too bad.

The pour reveals a cloudy light orange color with a thin white head. Good aroma and flavor of yeast and citrus. The palate is smooth. It’s competent but doesn’t have anything special or remarkable.

A solid offering from The Elysian - This pours a hazy, golden/amber body with a frothy, Slightly yellow head. Very aromatic, sweet malt, bread, honey, apples, flowers, tart oranges, white pepper & other spices, yeast, a touch of sourness, and a spritz of alcohol. Very light, fluffy mouthfeel. The flavor is much like the aroma, the exception being that the citric-like sourness increases a bit, prompting me to take the rating down a notch. It finishes on a sweet, somewhat alcohol note. Very nice.

Slightly hazy golden body with a fluffy, off-white head. The aroma is sweet and fruity, with honey, banana, oranges, sweet apples, fresh hay, doughy biscuits, sweet perfume, whole wheat, fresh floral wafts and some spicy coriander. The body is soft and supple with a light, pleasant silkiness on the tongue. The flavor is mostly sweet and fruity with bits of floral perfume and some light, warm, slightly peppery alcohol. This is a classy, tasty American tripel. I could drink a lot of this, at least while it’s fresh.

Golden orange hazed ale with a thick white head. Nice coriander malt with some herbal notes, and light yeast. In mouth, a rich malt with coriander orange peels, but some harshness in finale. Overall, a nice beer. Mondial 2006.

Pours a hazy golden orange with a large foamy white head that left lacing and sustained. A very nice looking beer. Aroma of candy sugar, pineapple, citrus and yeast. Flavor of yeast, Belgian spices, banana, candy sugar, light roast and slight alcohol as it warmed.
