Commercial Description:
Deceptive and delicious Belgian-style Tripel. Bete Blanche is extremely drinkable, blonde and somewhat treacherous. Brewed entirely from pale malt and augmented in the boil with Turbinado sugar. Bittered with German Northern Brewer and finished with Styrian Goldings hops. Fermented with mixed Belgian and American ale yeasts

[At GABF 2004] A hazy yellow beer with a small white head. The aroma is sweet flowery combined with notes of yeast. The flavor is primarily yeasty combined with a slight note of alcohol.

Cloudy beige colour. Aroma shows big coriander, dust-accented yeast, and a bit of pale malt. The body is firm and more or less dry. Spicy, fruity flavours atop confident pale malts. Not so brave in interpretation but solid in execution.

On tap at Elysian, Seattle. Cloudy orange/gold colour with lasting off white head. Lemon/wheat Belgian yeast wit aroma. Lots of fruit in mouth, tangerine/lemon, good intense fruit balanced by hop and cereal. Very zesty. Belgian wit and tripel collide. Excellent flavours especially the zesty citrus fruits.

Murky dirty golden, lasting large white head. Low aromatics once again from an elysian’s Belgian take. Sweaty, dirty yeast aromas are downed by generous spice character (ginger root) while light citrusy and herbal hops offer some comfort to a very shy malt support. Tartish lemon squash peaks in the otherwise dull estery, soapy and grainy finish. Light and oily body with unattractive regional carbonation.
