Dark Amber colored brew with a good thick head this was a nice strong winter type beer. What where they thinking send a beer like this to the wrong time of a festival this was not winter time. A good beer a nice sipping around the fire beer not out in a hot tent brew.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 24, 2006 This bottled brew poured a small sized head of foamy off-white colored yellow inged fine to medium sized bubbles that left behind a transparent orange colored carbonated body and a good lacing. The aroma was musty hoppy and malty. The mouth feel was tingly from the start and mellowed in its finish. The flavor was strongly vinous with a malt bite piney hops and loaded with yummy caramel malts. goldtwins (4080), Nesconset, New York, USA

Aroma is hoppy, citrus, orange and pine and even a bit of bubblegum. Grainy malt flavor backed up with some caramel malts, and a good amount of hops- lightly spicy and more citrus. Sweet finish but still lots of bitterness and somewhat dry. Reid (1090), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 14, 2006 Very "English" looking ale in my pint glass, dark orange/amber with a nice sized frothy/bubbly light tan head.
The aroma is actually quite hoppy in character, but there is plenty malts and a good dose of spiciness.
The taste however is very much on the malty side..toffeeish,caramel malts with black coffee hints, there is a litle hopping noticable, it perks up the mouthful near the end, then the beer finishes with a long, long bitter malt aftertaste with spicy ,peppery undertones.
Excellent palate to this one, quite thick.
I found this a nice enough beer, but i think for me one bomber at a sitting is enough..the bitter aftertaste tends to deter another bottle.

Only a light pale malt note to balance a grapefruity, lemony, peachy hop character. Fairly hoppy flavour with lots of bitterness, grapefruit and apricot. Late alcohol. hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA

This is a sweet beer that reminded me of an orange Jolly Rancher candy. Orange peel and grapefruit rind with some apple. This is sort of one dimensional, but if you like hops it will be your dimension.
