Aroma is hoppy, citrus, orange and pine and even a bit of bubblegum. Grainy malt flavor backed up with some caramel malts, and a good amount of hops- lightly spicy and more citrus. Sweet finish but still lots of bitterness and somewhat dry. Reid (1093), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 14, 2006 Very "English" looking ale in my pint glass, dark orange/amber with a nice sized frothy/bubbly light tan head.
The aroma is actually quite hoppy in character, but there is plenty malts and a good dose of spiciness.
The taste however is very much on the malty side..toffeeish,caramel malts with black coffee hints, there is a litle hopping noticable, it perks up the mouthful near the end, then the beer finishes with a long, long bitter malt aftertaste with spicy ,peppery undertones.
Excellent palate to this one, quite thick.
I found this a nice enough beer, but i think for me one bomber at a sitting is enough..the bitter aftertaste tends to deter another bottle.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 5, 2006 Hazy amber colour. Only a light pale malt note to balance a grapefruity, lemony, peachy hop character. Fairly hoppy flavour with lots of bitterness, grapefruit and apricot. Late alcohol. hotstuff (3183), Indiana, USA

Small ivory head that mostly diminished, sparse lacing, hazy, fizzy carbonation, and an orange hue. Sweet hoppy nose. Malt and hoppy flavor. Tingly, hoppy palate. Medium body. jsquire (2123), St. Marys, Ohio, USA

This is a sweet beer that reminded me of an orange Jolly Rancher candy. Orange peel and grapefruit rind with some apple. This is sort of one dimensional, but if you like hops it will be your dimension. omhper (12299), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 21, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Deep golden. Grapefruit hop aroma. Sweet with plenty of hops. The malt is there, but isn’t noticed. The hops OTOH are very much in your face. There’s grapefruit and licorice. Lingering very bitter finish.
(To give English speaking any idea how silly it looks when a letter like "Ö" is used in the wrong place I suggest that they rename the beer to "BIFRQST".) AlabastorJones (774), San Francisco, California, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 6, 2006 Pale amber beer with a thin white head. Light spicy aroma, notes of honey, some spicy/woody golding type of hops. Flavour also shows light zesty malts, honey and some woody hops. Fairly peppery and alcoholic with a fairly bitter finish. Sort of a lightly hopped ESB. Tasty brew.
