Bottle from Spruce Street Market in Philly, pours golden amber with a frothy white head, mild hop aroma with a slightly sweet cereal note as well, taste is hoppy up front, sweet, with a malty and slightly dry finish, good mouthfeel - not too heavy, not too light, well balanced beer.

Pours a hazy dark gold, with a soapy lace - a lot of crystal malt sweetness in the aroma, which combines with the strong hops to create a candied citrus kind of quality - medium carbonation, fairly full-bodied - not what I was expecting in a winter ale - spicy amarillo hop bitterness and peppery character surrounds a center of chewy sweet malts that get sweeter and more bread-like near the finish - those hops never leave the tongue, though, and their spiciness combines with the alcohol warmth in the finish - like a strong APA - a winter ale for the hop head, as if Yulesmith weren’t enough.

Pours a dark amber and smells of the fjords. Taste is a little bitter with decent hop overtones and an overall pine and citrus impression. Odin himself would be impressed with this one! For that matter, so would Greg Oden.

[Bottle] shared by skyview. Pours a clearish caramel with a small soapy beige head. Aroma is lots of caramel and raisin, alcohol, and a little vanilla. Bitter, caramel, raisin, chalky, citric hops, and a medium mouthfeel.

Bottle… Post RBSG ’08 O-Town/Vero Beach Throwdown Chapter 8… Hazy, light amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. Very discreet, malty aroma. Medium-bodied with tingly carbonation. Leans on the bitter side of balance. Lengthy, modestly bitter finish.

On tap at the all three locations and in bombers over the years. Had up to a 3 yr aged. Pours a darker amber with some lighter orangey red tones to it. Piney dark fruit and malted aroma that’s fairly heavy, alochol is noticable. Flavor is big and malty with lots of fruit intertwined with a thick bready yeast body. Medium to thick. Fairly carbonated allowing spice to bounce across the tongue. Finishes heavy in the piney citrus realm borderlining an IPA. Good stuff! With aged, the hops mellow fairly and the plummy dark fruit malts stant out a bit more. Recommended.

Mild hop and malt aroma. Sweet caramel and malt in the flavor, some light, dried fruits, and malt. The alcohol is perceivable. Low carbonation. Smooth, full palate. Solid all around.

Pours a lightly hazy dark orange color, with a small off white head. Smells of a pretty decent juicy hop presence, with an evident malt character, and some yeast. The flavor has a good amount of hops as well, providing a sharp bitterness on the palate. Some malt and citrus are their for some complexity. Lots of bready yeast in the finish which I didnt care for much, but still drank pretty nice. Hoppier than I thought it would be.
