Aug 10, 2008 Pours a lightly hazy dark orange color, with a small off white head. Smells of a pretty decent juicy hop presence, with an evident malt character, and some yeast. The flavor has a good amount of hops as well, providing a sharp bitterness on the palate. Some malt and citrus are their for some complexity. Lots of bready yeast in the finish which I didnt care for much, but still drank pretty nice. Hoppier than I thought it would be.

Aug 4, 2008 [1309-20080418] 1pt6floz bottle. Sweet faint notes of hoppy juicy orange and sweet malt in the aroma. Slightly hazy, light brown orange body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Dark sweet malt flavour with roasted hops and a sweet malted yeast aftertaste. Medium-full body has a bitter finish. NOt expected but nice and drinkable.

Jul 30, 2008 Poured from a 22 oz. bottle. Clear bronze-copper. Candycorn and caramel sweet aroma. Brown sugar and golden raisin. Wholly confectionary, but dark. Big blackened sweetcorn and buttered toasty cornbread flavor. Honey. Cloying and off putting. Papery woodiness. Somewhat wine-like at times, but with more basic bitterness than initially suggested. Semi-wooden, medium bodied and lightly carbonated palate. Plain muddled stone and berry fruit and their dry skins in the finish. Content to be boring. Thanks Bob!

Jul 24, 2008 Picked up a single 22-oz bottle at Bottleworks in Seattle, Washington. Pours a hazy dark orange amber brew with an average sized beige head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and off-white ring with some nice lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, raisin, a touch of mint, and dark pitted fruits. Taste is full bodied, light carbonated with flavors of caramel malt, some citrus and zest, apricots, and some dark fruits. Finish has a nice balance of semi-sweet and bitterness that quickly changes to a mild bitterness that lingers after the finish. The extra few month of aging did some nice work to this American Ale.

Fruity (apples, peaches) base, plentifull hops, somewhat flat middle, hop-flower sparkles, ends on a oily resin note.
Oily mouthfeel. Pine aftertaste.

Jul 14, 2008 Thanks to Brewdad for giving me a chance to try this. Poured a deep orange color into the glass. Aroma was bitey hops, dough and fruit, with a little mint as well. Taste was big hops, nice herbal character, ripe fruit, tangerine, mint, dough and spice. this was nice, and a little different than most.

Jun 12, 2008 Honey lemon and pine in the nose. Hopped to Asgaard and back! And then some in the finish! Great lacing like all of their drafts.
