Alcohol and toffee sweetness also participate, but none of the components actually merge for now. They sure are attractive though.
The Festivities: Wooden, citrusy and resinous hops bloom joyfully within the fruity caramel maltiness. Carbonation is a bit low, but manages to let all flavors shine. Not the most complex barley wine, but a flavorful mammoth nonetheless.
Transcendence: A third-tier deity still lives above the clouds. Lubiere (4538), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Lightly hazy orange amber ale, with a nice off-white head. Sweet esters of fruits and floral hops come out, with orange notes. Sweet honey malt in mouth, with floral hops in attack, lingering bitterness and warm alcohol. Rather sweet, bitter and simple. Thanks Cap. Marc (477), Yokosuka, Japan

The nose is sweet and maltly but is a little off. The flavor is much better than the smell. Sweet malty at first there is a nice citrus hop flavor and bitterness. Silky texture. Nice barleywine.
