Bronzed amber with luscious, tanned head. Full- bodied with decent medium-sour flavor, but no discernable pumpkin. A drinkable, middle-of-the-road sour ale.

Decent toasty roasty nose with noticeable light sour aromas as well. . Murky amber brown. Flavor is sour initially with a hint of roast and dark malts. More roast and lightly chemically note that I did not enjoy at all. Odd weird unpleasant finish.

Elysian 8472@ Pumpkinfest2009. Hazy brown color with a tan head. Lightly tart citrus/lemon aromas with medium roasted malts, earthy barnyard. Nice lightly sour lemon flavor, with roasty malts, mild pumpkin, spicy hops. Good sour pumpkin.

Big sweet tart aroma with a nice amber color. The flavor was super tart and very off tasting not one of the best I have had.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Deep dark amber pour. The nose is fairly unusual. There is a bit of light tartness over a thin malt sweetness. There is a kiss of light balsamic character on the nose. There is a bit of light sweetness and some dark fruitiness, some cherry and a bit of light almost bretty cologne character. There is a nice wildness on the back of the palate that really blends nicely with the soft sweet toasted malts and molasses with a touch of light spiciness along with a bit of molasses. A touch of light spiciness on the back. I actually quite like this.

Tap at the Blind Tiger for Elysian’s Pumpkin Beer night. Murky brown pour. Sour, young balsamic aroma, with that ever-present pumpkin kick. A bit less distinct in the flavor, more malt and spice and more balanced. Tastes like a blend between a decent pumpkin ale and a mild sour. Works for me. Delightful.
