Sample at the Most Honorable SuperHappyFun Stout Tasting: Aroma is coffee, burnt sugar. Roasted chocolate malts. A bit ashy, and packed with chocolate, this has just the perfect amount of spicy hop to balance it out. buzzoven (333), Japan
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 20, 2008 This one surprised me. I had passed this one up in the store many times but finally decided to give it a try and glad i did. Heavy nose of rum raisins, cherry liquer. Smooth on the tongue and generous with the roasted chocolate and overall rummy flavour. Finishes well with some good bitterness. The balance is something of a miracle here...allowing the natural elements to shine through. One interesting thing aboiut Dragonstooth is that it is a 7.4% abv but somehow manages to taste like it is higher....weird. Very enjoyable stout! Sparky27 (1640), Phoenix, Arizona, USA

Nose is chocolate and roasted malts. Taste is coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted, smoky malt and molasses with a biting hop finish that lingers on the tongue for awhile. Smooth, creamy mouth feel. Very good – nice surprise. Thanks Matt Maples for substituting this in my order - good choice! daknole (3030), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA

I smell chocolate, toffee, cane syrup and molasses. Thick and rich on the palate...great roastiness and really good chocolate on the tongue. This one was a winner. Very, very nice!
