| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 9, 2006 Dark pretty beer that has a promising look during the pour.
The nose is promising as well, not overpowering but does that hey I’m here and I’m going to taste damn good dance in your nose.
Fluffy darker head that slips away and the first swallow is a winner. Makes me think duh, why haven’t I tried this before. It’s terrible when we missout on tasty beers just because they are easily availible. I’m kicking myself over this one. Wow...tasty and well worth it. JCapriotti (1378), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 9, 2006 Dark brown/black body, creamy brown head.
Aroma has roasted malts, blah blah blah. It’s a nice aroma for an imperial stout to have.
Nice creamy thick body. Pretty basic but luscious imperial stout flavors. Subtle piney hop hints similar to original Dark Lord, Batch 7000 and Smuttynose.
Elysian seems to put together some good stuff.
