Commercial Description:
A smooth and sturdy stout, made with 10% rolled oats, roasted barley and chocolate malt. The name is referential to the founders of Thebes, warriors who sprang from the earth when the teeth of a slain dragon were sown by Cadmus. Bittered with Chinook; finished with Cascade and Columbus hops.

Fantastic! Pours black with dark tan head. Aroma of coffee and chocolate dominate the nose. Roasted flavor with just a touch of chocolate sweetness, slides over the tongue with ease. Smooth creamy finish. I’ll have to have another sometime soon.

Sampled from the bottle and another stout from a great year of stouts! Pours blacker than black, slightly strong aroma but very pleasing, great mouthfeel and a smooth combo of chocolate, roasty, alcohol, and caramel. This is a real keeper!

Bottle. 25.4 oz. Pours deep, deep brown with an amber, frothy head. Aroma of pepper, chocolate, clove, raisins, barley, and roasted malts. Full bodied with a velvety, warm mouthfeel. Heavy, smooth finish. Outstanding foreign stout.

Bottle... Poured black with a light brown head. Toasted grains on the nose. Dry palate, sweet malts, and chocolate flavors. Nutty with a tart bitterness. Coffee-like finish.

On tap at Tangletown. Definitely tasted the burned flavor, but I always like burned stuff. Good thickness, good flavor, a pretty easy drinker.

Wow. If you’ve never had Dragonstooth Stout that’s all you really need to know. Wow. It literally appears like a fictional dragon’s tooth, absolutely black...ink-like, and if I were to go further I could say primordial ooze-like. It pours with beautiful deep brown head and a complex roast aroma. A full and thickly luscious mouthfeel pairs beautifully with 7.4%abv. Although this stout is finished with citrusy hops it really doesn’t show. Instead you will find a complex myriad of roast, chocolate and alcohol.

Pours a deep black with a nice cocoa brown head. Nice aroma of cocoa and biscuit. Flavor is so smooth and deep. Rich chocolate and roasted notes. Nice long finish.
