Dorwart (1647), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA Oct 2, 2008 About a 3/4 inch high head of dense and creamy bubbles. Medium brown in color and lasts for quite a while. Rich chocolaty aroma with some licorice, sweet malts, roasted grains and a bit of coffee. Black like well used motor oil. Silky smooth palate. Lots of licorice again, dark roasted malts and some oat presence. Amazingly easy drinking and has a solid hops presence. Light alcohol presence. Finishes a little on the bitter side with a lingering roastyness. A damn fine stout!
