Aromas of sweet bready malts with a light hopy crispness. Pours a clear bright golden color. Light bready sweetness with a crisp pleasant finish. A tad fruity and sweet, this one was an easy drinking ale that was smooth, but pretty run of the mill.

Guest beer on draught at the regular Elysian 1221 E. Pike Street brewery in Seattle, Washington. Pours a clear golden pale amber brew with a creamy white head that has some nice retention and excellent lacing. Aroma of lightly roasted cookie dough malt, a touch of citrus and a touch of herbs. Taste is smooth, creamy, light to medium bodied with a good balance of crystal malt and citrus hop flavors. Finish is semi-sweet at first with a mild bitterness after the finish.

[1107-20080217] Tap @ Elysian Fields (called "Elysian Field’s Golden Fleece" on the board; Seattle, WA). Mild malty aroma. Hazy, medium orange brown body with a medium-lasting creamy white head and a thick lace coating on the glass sides. Weird evergreen pencil lead malt flavour up front followed by weird burnt tissue characteristics. Medium body. Surprisingly bland despite the above.

A fair bit of hop. Almost sour, although that may not have been deliberate.
