Miver (551), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 28, 2009 Draft at Iron Hill West Chester. Poured amber in color with a medium sized white head. Aroma of wet grain, ginger, spices. Taste is bready with some light ginger, spices and lightly hoppy finish. Pretty thin overall. Not my thing. KornDogg (168), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 27, 2009 draft at Iron Hill WC... very little pumpkin flavor, taste more of the ginger and malts... after taste is terrible, not a fan of Elysian when they use Czech Saaz egajdzis (3602), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 26, 2009 Hazy dark golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of ginger, grass, toast, pumpkin, and spices. Taste of ginger, citrus, toast, grassy hops, metal, and a dry finish. TomDecapolis (3130), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 26, 2009 Tap at IH WC during Gathering of the Gourds 2009. Pours a hazy golden amber with a medium bubbly off white head. Aroma of ginger, cookies, noble hops and bready malt. Flavor of the same but the beer was a bit too thin. puzzl (2579), New York, New York, USA Oct 21, 2009 Tap at the Blind Tiger for Elysian’s Pumpkin Beer night. Spicy hop and spicy pumpkin pie nose. Very clean and squashy. Lively, smooth, spicy flavor, with a refreshing, grainy finish. Good stuff. thenick (742), North Bellmore, New York, USA Oct 15, 2009 Tap @ Blind Tiger. Pours a hazy golden-amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is heavy ginger with a bit of earthy notes thrown in for good measure. Tastes like a straight pilsner, with a grain characteristic and some Saaz hops, in the beginning, and the finish is heavy heavy on the ginger. I enjoyed it - but avoid if ginger is not your thing. AmEricanbrew (1747), Louisiana, USA Oct 12, 2009 Hazy amber with a biege head. Huge grassy, ganja smoke aroma with mild ginger root. Medium body. Good medium sweet lager malt base brew meshing nicely with sharp ginger and spicy hops. Draft@ Pumpkinfest2009. riversideAK (2648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Dec 17, 2008 Grassy and bready nose with a touch of spice. Golden bright beer with a thin fluffy head. Nice pils flavors of bread, grass, lemon. Spice is light and secondary in this one. Light, refreshing, and really pleasant actually.
