Dark oarnge. Lots of carbonation, chimay goblet, with a medium, head. Wild aroma, strong hops, lots of yeast, very malty and grainy. Alcoholic and potent. Thick, syrupy, ale. Starts leafy, malty. Lots of yeast, sugar, and malt in the flavor. Quite potent. Finish is grainy, yeast, and just slightly,hoppy.grainy. Very earthy and although, sweet, not overly. Wow! A great beer, but a tad too potent. Mellowing this with aging would be a pleasure I would like to experience. Thanks Andre!

Pour is hazed golden yellow with a thin white head...smell is more yeasty than anything else...spicy warm flavors, alcohol is very apparent...

Sweet, powdered sugar and caramel along with a hefty dose of cabbage and some alcohol in the aroma. Hazy copper-tan coloured body topped by a low white head that recedes to partial cover. Vegetal and sweet with strong alcohol. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Nothing about this suggests a tripel to me. Bottle sampled with martinT, Olivier MTL, Rastacouere and Siroy.

Opaque orange, gentle white film. Vegetal DMS dominates the little aromas there are while minty alcohol whiffs shake the nostrils around. Husky malts with no identity of their own. Sweet in mouth and strongly phenolic, hot potato like alcohol from the vegetal feel. Lightcarbonation, dull loose mouthfeel. Getting nowhere, unfortunately like most of Elysian’s Belgians I’ve had.

Any first impressions?
-An able head sits on the bright orange.
-In the aroma, orange fruitiness is hinted around a moderate acidity.
-Dirty yeast and vegetal notes swerve into the sweet fruitiness.
-The lean body is acceptable for the style.

What if you dig deeper?
-Alcohol is felt, but not tasted much.
-Earthy, caramelly sweetness awkwardly clings to the yeast.
-Tartness doesn’t fit with the peachy sweetness.
-As a tripel, abhorrent; as a fruity strong ale, bearable.

Bottle; no date.
