skoisirius (480), Seattle, Washington, USA May 22, 2008 Tasted in 2006. Pretty amazing brew. In the base you’re basically drinking Dragonstooth, and then you get a blast of dark cocoa, milk chocolate, and what seems to be an extra little kick of coffee notes. Pours a dark black, nice big brown head. Aroma’s are roasty malts, coffee, and cocoa. Super goodness here...hope to try it again someday!
akaufman (16), Seattle, Washington, USA Apr 12, 2007 Remarkably fresh. It was a pretty great treat even the day after valentines. glkaiser (999), Seattle, Washington, USA Feb 18, 2006 On tap at Tangletown...tapped yesterday. Only 3 barrels brewed. Very dark cloudy brown with a big creamy brown head. Very sweet chocolaty and malty aroma, does not smell or taste too alcoholic. This is a very sweet stout, but not over the top. They put french silk chocolate in the brew and you can definitely tell...tastes like you just sucked on a Hershey’s kiss. An awesome silky smooth texture. Quite tasty, good experiment.
Also, found out Elysian will be building a huge brew pub down by Qwest Field sometime in the future...400 capacity + street vending on game days.
