Tap at Rattle n Hum: Hazy golden with a dense white film of head. Simple estery aroma with a touch of wheaty notes and a nondescript fruitiness. Light feel/carbonation. Simple flavor as well with a wheaty touch and nondescript fruity notes from the yeast. Boring and nondescript overall.

Tap at Rattle N Hum. Very hazy orange beer. The aroma is basically non-existent. A faint kiss of peach and maybe some light wheat. A touch of orange peel and a bit of very pale malts. Not much in the way of bitterness at all. Kind of a very non-descript pale ale. Meh.

Rattle’n’Hum: I have never had a beer that was so closely characterized by its name... Pours a clear GOLDEN amber; smells like a dirty BOOT!!! Overwhelming skunkiness in the aroma. The skunk carries through into the taste, however here it is obviously due to the hops. Pretty good, could use some more complexity.

Draft at RNH. Pours a murky amber body with a white head. Sweet candy and caramel malts. Damp woodiness, dank and chewy with some tawny fruity esters.

I hated this beer--I could not get past the smell, even when holding my nose and sipping. It smelled of hops and dirty socks--appropriate for an ale created for the Seattle Sounders, but not a flavor you want in your mouth, and this sweat sock taste lingered in my mouth. It was thin, very carbonated, bitter and peppery. I can see where it might be an enjoyable ale for a summer’s day if only the smell could be tempered.

Tap at Fields for SBW. Clear golden gold color with a thin head. Aroma is very arresting. Glimpses of hops and grasses in the nose but the major overall impression is of funk or sweat. Reminded me of a gym bag, other people at table agreed. taste was cleaner and more traditional of the wheat variety.

Tap at Capitol Hill location. Soft aroma. Somewhat fruity hop notes with some biscuits and bread. Pours gold - no shit. Thin head. Soft sweetness, biscuity malt, a little fruity actually. Hops in the finish are dry and earthy. Drinks nicely. Good thirst quencher with alcohol.
