omhper (10950), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 21, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy dark yellow. Citric yeasty aroma. Sweet and medium bodied. Like a weizenbock with some citrus character. Low bitterness. An interesting, well made beer, but I’m not convinced that this concept really flies. Oakes (7032), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Mar 5, 2006 Hazy light amber colour. Wheaty, yeasty aroma with light orange accent. Very orangey...okay yuzu-y. The body is slightly sweet & sour, and a little creamy too. Overly firm pale malts with big yuzu character in the finish. The yuzu is great when you get it, but overall this beer is a shade too yeasty. acrdz (4489), Boulder, Colorado, USA Aug 7, 2005 Draft at Tangletown
Murky yellow and a little bit of a green hue as well. Sharp, tingling lime and spiced floral nose. Soapy, oily and smooth, with a weird sweet sugary lime and lemon soda-pop resemblance. Finish is coating slick oily and sweet limes and sugar. Very interesting, but too pop-like. JoeMcPhee (3899), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Feb 6, 2006 Very cloudy yellow beer with a thick white head. Aroma is very spicy, yeasty estery and slightly phenolic spices. Sweet bubble gum, cotton candy and spice. Has loads of flavour, some citrus peel, tart wheaty body, slightly sourish and dry toward the finish. All the yeasty character is backed by a distinct lemon/orange citrus flavour. Very Belgian and quite tasty. beerguy101 (3544), Newark, California, USA Aug 5, 2005 Tasted on Tap at 2005 OBF. Light gold color, slightly hazy. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet. A medium bodied Belgian Ale. Very fruity and sweet with a whole lot of lime and orange/tangerine flavors. Very citrusy. Nice bright Belgian-style yeasts. Lively carbonation. Light and refreshing. Touch of spicy hops. Nice summer beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
