Bottle from Bierkoning. Amber body with lasting head. Hoppy nose. Oily texture. Nice taste of toffee, caramel, sweetbread. Hops and pine in the finish. Quite good actually. Not as hoppy as I expected.

@ KBC festival ’s-Hertogenbosch. A hazy golden colored beer, with a thick foamy off-white head. The aroma is very hoppy with a lot of fruits like citrus and orange. The taste is hop bitter with fruits, some sweets, with notes of alcohol. The aftertaste is bitter. A great beer.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours amber with a small white head and a hoppy aroma with hints of apples. The taste is bitter with lots of hops, olive-oil, spices, herbs and some alcohol. A longlasting hoppy finish to end it all makes this a very good beer.

Pours clean copper with an ok off-white head. Aromas of paler stone fruits and floral hop. Medium body with mild frothy carbonation. Flavor is a bit peach or apricot. Finishes lush and decently bitter. Rather floral.

(Bottle, Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 3 Aug 2009) Dark amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with citrus, caramel, orange peel and a touch of pine needles. Malty, fruity taste with heavy notes of pine needles, resin, orange peel and bittersweet orange marmalade. Long bitter citrussy, piney finish backed up with a solid caramel malt foundation. Full body, fairly sweet. Excellent beer.

Tap @ KBC ’09. Hazy golden color, large head. Good hoppy aroma, fruity again. Firm body, good bitterness. Decent DIPA.

Bottle. Orange brown color, cloudy. Pineapple and melon in the aroma. Full bodied. Oily hopbitter peppery flavor with ontbijtkoek (spiced Dutch breakfast cake) and melon. Notes of alcohol. Long oily hopbitter aftretaste. Well made DIPA, Emelisse didn’t forget the power, but went for balance.

On tap at ’t Arendsnest. Hazy amber colour with a rich, almost yellowish head. Rich grassy and fruity hop aroma. Good bitter flavours with some balance provided by biscuity maltiness. Quite full-bodied. Nice.
