Bottle 30 cl, aged 2009. Pours orange with a small white head and a sweet malty aroma. The taste is sweet malty, with noteso f spices, orange, molasses and even some syrup in the end. I like this brew. Nice one!

Bottle from De Bierkoning. Cloudy orange with a yellowish head. Fruity and spicy aroma. A very spiced bock with hints of sour fruit. The spices seem like a cover-up for a less than successful brew.

On draught (PINT BBF 09): Deep golden, hazy, small lacy white head; yeast, hops, honey and some grains in the astonishingly dry nose; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; dry lingering hoppy and pale-malty finish. Pleasant, like a good souped-up Pils.......

Tap @ The Dutch Bockbier Festival, 2009.
Pours muddy golden with a small, creamy, off-white film head. Aroma is yeasty, sweet malt and sugar. Light carbonation, very thin and watery. Weak, thin and sweet flavour, grainy, yeast and citric. Not good.

On Tap at BBF. Orange body with prickly head. Nose of malts and caramel. Sweet flavours. Hoppy and easy to drink. A nice switch of style at the festival.

Tap@1stBBF. Very German hops aroma with some malts. Quite as to be expected from a good Helles Bock. Yellow colour, white head, good lace. Flavour is quite ok but is lacks some body and the malts aren’t very present. Overall still and OK beer.
