Orange amber color, huge cloudy off-white head, some lace. Flowery, clover aroma. Quite hoppy, some fruits, bitter - almost harsh flavor. Similar to some Swedish Ölands brews (with more alcohol of course). Fruity and hoppy, solid APA. SorenE (14), , New Zealand Nov 1, 2008 Very nice beer, although I am not sure I would call it an APA, as it is not that pale and and a bit on the strong side. Beef up the bitterness and it would be an exceptional IPA! dornoy (649), Lyngby, Denmark Oct 11, 2008 Very impressive clear amber long-lasting Head on an amber body. This is one of the best IPA I’ve tasted, as good as Mikeller’s Stateside IPA. It has all the attractive qualities: not too bitter, very well balanced, and a long-lasting very nice aftertaste. I could drinks one or two every day! This is my very first experience of a New Zealand beer, and the least I can say is that it was overwhelmingly positive! donfardz64 (135), Wellington, New Zealand Oct 8, 2008 Pours a clear amber with a frothy off white head. Big hops on the nose, with malty caramel and some citrus. Hops are strong in the flavour too, giving that characteristic bitterness of an APA. The malty caramel stays in the back, hanging out with some lemons in the grass. The bitterness lasts for quite a while, making for a very good all rounder of an APA. Anyone with a mildly good beer palate can greatly appreciate this beer.
