Orange amber color, huge cloudy off-white head, some lace. Flowery, clover aroma. Quite hoppy, some fruits, bitter - almost harsh flavor. Similar to some Swedish Ölands brews (with more alcohol of course). Fruity and hoppy, solid APA. SorenE (129), , New Zealand
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 1, 2008 Very nice beer, although I am not sure I would call it an APA, as it is not that pale and and a bit on the strong side. Beef up the bitterness and it would be an exceptional IPA! dornoy (681), Lyngby, Denmark
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 11, 2008 Very impressive clear amber long-lasting Head on an amber body. This is one of the best IPA I’ve tasted, as good as Mikeller’s Stateside IPA. It has all the attractive qualities: not too bitter, very well balanced, and a long-lasting very nice aftertaste. I could drinks one or two every day! This is my very first experience of a New Zealand beer, and the least I can say is that it was overwhelmingly positive! donfardz64 (441), Wellington, New Zealand
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 8, 2008 Pours a clear amber with a frothy off white head. Big hops on the nose, with malty caramel and some citrus. Hops are strong in the flavour too, giving that characteristic bitterness of an APA. The malty caramel stays in the back, hanging out with some lemons in the grass. The bitterness lasts for quite a while, making for a very good all rounder of an APA. Anyone with a mildly good beer palate can greatly appreciate this beer. Madsnp (627), Odense C, Denmark
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 15, 2008 Bottle. Light amber coloured with a foamy off white head. Crispy, clean aroma with citric notes. Flavours of grassy hops, some caramel, lemon and a lovely bitter aftertaste. NosirIwont (1186), Aalborg Vestby, Denmark
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 12, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy amber-orange with a big, creamy off-white head. A bit of lacing. Sweet, candy, citrus hop aroma with malty notes in the background. Remote acidic/vinegar notes. Hop flavour with a liquorice bitterness. As in the aroma, faint acidic/vinegar notes. Dry finish. A bit alcoholic and has a strong, lingering liquorice bitterness. Remote apple and grass notes as it warms. Slightly too much carbonation. 12-09-08. Jukkabro (3039), Tampere, Finland
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 3, 2008 Dark golden colored with cloudy appearance. Little yellow head. Aroma is rich with grass and hops, some soft sweet soapy American notes here also. Medium bodied. Flavor is also rich with fine hops and lemony note, again American note comes up. Aftertaste lasts, still with good balance of sweet fruits and bitterness. I like this.
