The 2007 vintage is very different to the previous few years. Hops are a little more medicinal and biting now. The malt and hop flavours don’t quite seem to gel as well as they have in the past. That said, I think I like it better! It’s certainly a hoppy affair, right from the grapefruit nose through the citrus and pine flavours to the long drying finish. A great beer.

2007 vintage. Lovely golden brown colour with a fruity nose, low carbonation but good lacework. very fruity flavour, crisp in a way that Anchor liberty isn’t. Actually isn’t all that bitter, the hops manifest themselves in citrus fruity flavours rather than tongue peeling bitterness. A beer i look forward to every year!

Bottle. Shared by both papsoe and gunnfryd at two different occasions. An unclear, golden-orange beer with an off-white head. Hops, pine, some tropical fruit, beef-stocky malt and sweetness in the nose. Quite piney flavor with beef-stock, fruits and citrus. Full to medium body and a long and piney finish with oranges. Nice, pleasant, easy-to-like brew. (Same rating at 070608) (070510)

500ml bottle. Golden copper body with a nice beige head. Flavor has a lot of refreshing citrus/hops. Flavor is mild, harmonic balanced malt, citrus fruit and grassy. So simple and so nice!

(50 cl bottle. Purchased at Ølbutikken, Copenhagen) Bottle states BB 1024, that’s a damn long time ago... Clear dark brown color, lasting tan head. Sweet, hoppy and floral scent with some chocolate and grains. Fruity hoppy and bitter taste, some harsh bitterness. Medium mouthfeel, Medium high bitterness.

(Bottle 50 cl) Hazy, amber golden with a tall, dense and very stable off-white head leaving laces. Hoppy, slightly citrusy aroma. Medium body, fresh and fruity citrus flavours with a shot of flowers. The finish is distinctly bitter. 100507
