At 9.2% ABV this beer is not harsh however it is just not to my taste. The bourbon aroma / flavour is just way too strong taking away any discernable porter qualities.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of yalnikim. Pours an almost clear orangey brown with a creamy, beige head leaving some lacework. Whisky aroma – rather than Bourbon – with roasted malt accents. Medium body with sweetish roasted malt, vanilla and some oak also. The finish is soft with a very subdued bitterness. 190608

Bottled at Papsoes Blind tasting 19th. June 2008 no 30: Reddish brown coloured. Unclear. LIght brown dense head. Prunes, vanilla, chocolate in the aroma. Flavour of prunes, barral, vanilla and light caramel in the flavour. Very balanced. Meidum to full bodied. Barral and vanilla notes in the end. LIght alcohol on the lips. Nice.
