yalnikim (666), Wellington, New Zealand Apr 30, 2008 Tasted 30/04/2008. 1.25L flagon from Regional Wines and Spirits. Bright rose gold with a tight white head. Grassy hops with a hint of minerally yeast and a slowly building marmalade character. Sappy well-attenuated malt carries a big hop flavour that, while at first is all pine, comes over all old-fashioned bitter orange marmalade. Sweet malt notes creep through on the palate, with a little alcohol, before the long orange-like pithy bitterness finishes me off and lingers... medium mouthfeel, medium carbonation (a little less would makes this beer even better). Very nice strong bitter, like an amped up version of Galbraith’s Bob Hudson.
