yalnikim (676), Wellington, New Zealand Feb 17, 2008 Tasted 17/02/2008. Rigger, courtesy of BozoNZ. Pours a brilliant copper with a diminishing white head that laces strongly. Nose throws off peach, pepper, a little caramel-like sweet malt and a light floral note. A touch of metal in the hop character. Medium malt sweetness carries a nice big American-style fruity hop character. Big betterness, slingtly biting. Fruity notes lingers. Good carbonation and malt weight. Much better integration, and far tidier, than the stablemate: Yankee Doodle. Punches a shade above its weight and goes down better than the movie (I’m Not Alone). A "Best" APA, as opposed the the annual Emerson’s "Extra Special" APA. When’s the "Ordinary" coming out? Papsoe (11076), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 29, 2008 (On tap) Clear, amber golden with a small, off-white head. Aroma of citrusy hops and a whiff of butter. Medium body with light caramel notes before a dry, hoppy finish. Not quite as good as the sister brew "Yankee Doodle". 240108
