Ungstrup (11711), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 14, 2005 A hazy red-brown beer with a disappearing orange head - the haze disappears after a while. The aroma is sweet with notes of roasted bread and prunes. The flavor is sweet with notes of prunes, wood, roasted bread, and a nicely hoppy end. Papsoe (11076), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 19, 2005 Updated: Jun 13, 2005(Bottle 50 cl) In a blind tasting I would never ever have guessed this to be a brown ale. The beer has a dry, sourish tone that rather takes after a Flemish Oud Bruin. Amber coloured with some impurities. Very lively and bubbly carbonation that really fills the mouth. Very unusual. 211204 omhper (10950), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 1, 2005 Bottled. Dark amber, rich head. Grassy nose. Generously malty with soft, light mouthfeel and some caramel flavour. Bitter grassy finish. A very drinkable malt accented ale. MiP (6337), Flensburg, Germany Jun 4, 2005 Bottle. Fruity hop aroma. Cloudy chestnut colour. Malty flavour. Mouthfeel is quite swelling, too much for my liking. Emil (6077), Copenhagen, Denmark Nov 27, 2004 Bottle at Plan B Cph. DK. Brown color with a hint of red, heavy sweet caramel malty aroma and taste, turning very bitter and dry in a great way. Medium body and a dry bitter finish.
