Aroma features grainy pale malt, a touch of sweet fruit, but is dominated by a bready character. On the palate there is sweet malt, a grassy character similar to sauvignon Blanc or my grandads garden shed. Ends on a lingering grassy bitterness. Certainly not Richards best beer , but his biggest seller and I can see why that is so. Rastacouere (5553), Montréal, Quebec, Canada

Comments: Sharp, rather bitter pils, though not very focused in its maltiness. Quite thin and perhaps overly clean. I like how the dryness develops by the sip, but this is likeable whereas I expected the 2nd pilsner in ranking to be stunningly lovely in itself rather than for its similarities to IPAs - pils malts are so charming after all.

Hard to get away from at times. I love the nice, hoppy flavour and head I get with it. (Germans like their head and I am born German!) Cheers Richard ;-) kinghellsfire (10), New Zealand

Sweetish fruit flavour with bitter finish that lingers. A massively flavourful beer and a credit to Emersons brewery MelbBrewersJD (32), Australia
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 30, 2007 Huge saaz hop aroma and flavour in this pilsner. So much so it’s not really a session beer. Still I absolutely loved it and something to aim for when brewing this style.
