Commercial Description:
Truly an American favorite. Medium bodied ale with notes of roasted barley and a mellow malty sweetness. The Amber's malt character is challenged by aromatic hops from the Pacific Northwest that come through and leave a cleansing floral finish.

This draft brew from the brew pub poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized off-white colored bubbles that were and left behind a transparent softly carbonated orange colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy floral and malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish hoppy aftertaste. The weak flavor contained notes of malt hops and sweet. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

(Tap) Pours amber in color with little in the way of head. Aroma and taste of light caramel, biscuit, and toasted nut. Having said that, both the aroma and taste weren’t particularly strong. Medium light body, with good looking lacing. Not much in the way of a hoppy balance. An OK beer.

On tap at Emmett’s - West Dundee. Poured a deeper caramel with a medium cap of creamy beige head. Aroma found sweet, stately caramel accented by northern pines.. lightly-toasted with a pleasant light fruit presence. The flavor was highly hopped and bright like the aroma.. pine and juicy grapefruit bitterness above a sweet, toasty caramel base.. short-ish finish of caramel and a hard-to-identify bitterness. Sweet, smooth base on the palate with rather high bitterness surrounding.. OK balance. Nice brew!
