Draught at the August 5, 2008 Brewmaster’s dinner in Downers Grove. A good Kolsch, very similar to the ones being poured in Cologne. some lemongrass hints a touch bitter, creamy palate. Golden creamy off-white head. Earthy aroma finishes with a tough of floral hops.

I was just in Cologne and had my fair share of this lame style of beer. This was actually a pretty close version of it. Light in body and not hoppy but had a pretty sweet and malty flavor. Enjoyable for someone really trying to fine tune their beer tasting or pussies that don’t like flavorful beer.

On tap at the Palatine location. Clear golden with a big white head mostl lasting that leaves some pretty good lacing. Nose is grassy with hops and slight citrus. Taste is tangy and bitter with hops gently but folding into grass and moss. Alcohol faintly present to the side. After reflecting more on this beer the more I was picking up cabbage. Overall pretty good.
