Cornfield (4411), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Mar 4, 2008 This poured a hazy reddish amber with big beige bubbles for a head. The aroma was a juicy caramel with a restrained pine & floral hoppiness. The hops were stronger in the flavor, adding a crisp bitterness to balance the caramel and orchard fruit sweetness. Not too bad.

Night of the Living Ales IV, Goose Island Wrigleyville, Chicago, IL - 3/1/2008
thedm (3407), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Aug 2, 2007 This draft brew from the brew pub poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a transparent uncarbonated red brown colored body and a fair lacing. The aroma was hoppy and mild fruit. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of medium strength hops and red malt. A decent one that I would consider buying again. Walt (2291), Chicago, Illinois, USA Mar 23, 2008 our is ruddy amber with a small off white head...smell is lightly soapy and citric...lightly toasty malty sweetness with a subtle soapy finish... YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA Sep 20, 2007 From a growler. Cloudy amber body under a frothy white head. Notes of citrus, pine tar, caramel in the aroma. Light to medium body with ample carbonation and a watery texture. The flavor was malt and hops bitterness but watered down and tinny. Just didn’t cut it. JMerritt (1120), Macomb, Illinois, USA May 31, 2008 On tap at West Dundee location. Red/amber with a medium-sized white head that is mostly diminishing down to a thin film. Rather strong hop aroma with some caramel and toffee notes. Hops follow pretty fluidly into the flavor - bitter hops, caramel, vanilla cookie malt finish. Medium carbonation level is just about perfect. Surprisingly delicious.
