Commercial Description:
Light copper in color, fresh, spicy citrus aroma. Malt is there as well, along with the typical ale fruity esters. The first taste reveals a pronounced bitterness without being harsh or biting. Malt flavor shows itself briefly, but gives way to a wonderfully fresh hop flavor followed by a pleasant, mild bitterness.

Pour is orangey copper with a thin white head...smell is grapefruit and soapy pine...nicely sweet up front and then a greatbitterness comes in and corrects the muddled sweetness...great surprise!

At the brewpub in Downer’s Grove. Light amber color with small head, very floral hoppy aroma. Bitter finish, very hoppy. Almost too floral for my liking but a quality brew.

A really great beer. Poured from a tap at Emmetts, this beer came with a nice golden color, and a beautiful pale head. The smell is like a putting your face into a handful of hops. So strong! The taste was strange to me though. It was very refreshing, and I wanted to just drink the whole thing down at once. But when you actually put the beer down, you get the spicy aftertaste. It is bitter...not bad, but almost too spicy. At first its so captivating, but by the end of the pint, you just want to finish it off. I can’t imagine drinking a lot of this, but it is certainly a great beer.

Notes from the GTMW ’06. Yellow amber with a moderate eggshell head. Aroma of sweaty pineapple with toffee in the background. Not really that complex, but really good. The flavor added some pine and lemon zest and had a dry, moderately bitter finish. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Awesome beer I’d never heard of.

6-4-6-3-12 Nitro This draft brew from a cask on nitro from the brew pub poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a transparent uncarbonated golden brown colored body and a very good lacing. The smooth aroma was floral and malty. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The mild flavor contained notes of malt hops and floral. CO2 was much better 6-4-7-4-15 as rated. On CO2, it was much more crisp and hoppy with a stronger bitterness and tingle to the mouth feel . It was not nearly as flat as on nitro.
