| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Mar 22, 2008 Thanks to Brent for sharing this at Redlight: Ruby hued and oily appearance. The aroma is dominated by honey and heather as expected along with notes of wood and apricot esters. Also this has an intense alcoholic presence. The taste is sugary sweet and somewhat fruity along with some notes of anise, juniper, and orange. Massively phenolic and boozy, warming and sticky. Different for sure and what does it say about Florida that this is the highest rated "brew" from there. I guess Florida is the same as Poland. hopscotch (5534), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

March 08 Tampa Bay Tasting... here it comes... wait for it... wait - for - it... ok, here it is... This Mead Rocks!... Nearly clear, golden mead. The aroma is an intermingling of orange blossom honey, dried plum, mandarin orange and dried apricot. Full-bodied with a syrupy mouthfeel. The flavor is strictly orange blossom honey. Sweet and very drinkable. No alcohol burn to speak of. Finishes rich and sweet. Excellent Florida product!<B/> mgumby10 (1858), Jupiter, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 15, 2008 Courtesy Degarth. Pours a syrupy honey gold color, with even some white bubbles on the edge of the glass. Very sweet smelling, apples, honey, and caramel seemed to blend together quite nicely. The flavor is heavy on the caramel and honey, moreso than the fruit. Maybe got some butterscotch candy in there too. Really smooth, didnt get much alcohol burn at all. This is a very well done mead, one of the better products to come out of Florida. dchmela (1458), Orlando, Florida, USA

Make sure your dental insurance is paid up before you try this one, because it is the epitome of sweet! A thick and sludgy pour of dark brazen liquid is about as syrupy looking as it gets. Massively viscous sheeting clings to the glass and refuses to budge. The nose shows a huge burst of raisons and figs, followed by sweet apple juice and copious amounts of honey. The flavor is as sweet as it gets, with dark fruits showing strong. It tastes like raisons, figs, and golden apples were allowed to steep in warm honey for ages, lending all of their tangy sweetness to the drink. Full and viscous in the mouth, it coats the tongue, cheeks, and roof completely. Very smooth going down, showing just a hint of alcoholic warmth. Interesting and solid mead, but ultimately too intensely sweet for me. redlight (1496), Winter Park, Florida, USA
