Pours a clear copper. Heavy aroma of honey and spiced green apples. Taste is like eating fresh honey comb with spiced green apples. Medium sweet mouthfeel that hides the alcohol very well. I don’t like mead but this stuff is damn good.

Big thanks to Santa for this. The pour is deep golden and sticky. The aroma is heavy honey, slight fruity and spicy notes, but honey is the star here. The flavor is sticky, like eating a clump of honeybee hive from directly between the screens, with amazingly well hidden alcohol. This one was so very smooth, unique, and enjoyable that I felt like going out and raping and pillaging after quaffing it. Aaaaargh, try this one, ye limey bastards, or I’ll keelhaul your scrawny asses and force ye to walk the plank.

15 DEC 07, Southeast YeHa. 750ml bottle. Looks like a Brandy bottle. Pours like liquid honey. Aroma of sweet mead and cork. WOW! No alcohol presence. Nothing but sweet sugary honey. Like an over-sweetened southern sweet tea. PDer! Supersweet!

Courtesy of Degarth. Pours clear deep gold with few bubbles. The aroma is darn big seeming like a hand full of honey mixed with bits of beeswax and mild spices. The fluid is thick and viscous bringing forth an odd spice herbal like mixture to start followed by a flurry of honey sweetness and a mild alcohol drying sensation. Nice product.

Let me start this off by saying I don’t understand much about meads. I have had very minimal exposure to them, and as a result I am still unsure as to what I am supposed to be tasting and what makes a good mead. That being said, this is some tasty stuff. Golden still pour with no head or bubbles. Nose is immediate honey, with some alcohol heat backing, along with peppery spice, apples and honey. Did I mention this smells like honey? Flavor carries over all of those promised notes, with tons of hot honey coming through in every sip. I wanted a biscuit or a piece of fried chicken to go along with this. It’s really the most accurate representation of honey I have ever smelled or tasted in a mead. Coating on the tongue, very much like regular honey, only not nearly that heavy. Finish is super long, sweet and then a nice burn from the alcohol, which in turn makes this a very nice, warming sipper. This grew on me as I continued to sample it; hopefully the next time I encounter it I will have more of a background with this type of beverage and can appreciate it more.

clear dark gold, viscous sheets picks up some legs, sweet hot honey aroma with a light spicyness, thick body, sweet honey flavor, a touch of hot alcohol balances the sweet rather than being a distraction, lingering hot honey finish,

a lot of the alcohol has faded leaving the very sweet and thick honey character,

Thanks for bringing this to the 06 Atlanta YEHA! Boboski. A dark golden appearance. It was very oily looking almost like pouring cooking oil in a glass. The aroma was floral with a huge honey presence. The alcohol can be detected in the aroma. The flavor is very sweet and warming. Some maple syrup and honey shows through. Overall a nice dessert beverage. I could see smoking a cigar with this one.
