Bottled (Thanks Papsoe). Amber colour, non head. Aroma is honey, some mild alcohol and mildly spicy. Flavour is honey, spices, alcohol. A nicely balanced mead. Bigtime sweet wooden aftertaste.

Nov 28, 2008 Warm golden, clear and flat. Bright, pure, sweet nose with loads of honey character but also figs, grapes, and dates. Inviting aroma. Viscous, thick, and slippery. Apple and honey to the max in the flavors. Simple, sweet but nice, juicy and eminantly sippable.

Nov 19, 2008 Golden. Still, with a slight haze. Rich sugary orangey nose with a slightly floral accent. Very honeyish. Slight acidity and orange zest accent. Soft, but kind of cloying.

Oct 26, 2008 Deep amber in color. Aroma is a strong molasses with a tartness to it. Alcohol is apparent. Taste is very sweet and syrupy. Thick mouthfeel. Mostly molasses and honey with a hint of green apples. I like it, but prefer Kasztelanski.

Oct 16, 2008 Bottle, thanks to Papsoe for this one. Nose is pungent, alcohol, honey, kerosene, garage. Mouth is silky, sugary, some spirit and calvados. Quite good, really.

A bit murky red brown color, no head. Aroma of honey and fresh wood. Quite sweet and syrupy. Honey flavored with notes of clover. Not alcoholic at all. To sample only in small doses.
