Commercial Description:

500 ml bottle. Cloudy orange-pink(!) color, off-white head. Fruity aroma. Rasberry flavor, slightly tart. Light body, medium-high carbonation. Too watery to be good.

Very cloudy pink color with orange hues. A big pinkish/white and thick head leaves plenty of lacings. The smell is mostly of fruits of the forest (raspberries and strawberries) and fruit juice. The fruit aromas are mostly sweet but some tart notes are also present. Some grass, a faint spicy note, wheat and white bread. The smell has some qualities that resemble those of white wine, but all in all it’s not that extraordinary. The taste is actually quite reminiscent of rosé, white wine or sparkling fruit flavored wine, but not in a totally successful way. Plenty of sweet fruit flavors (raspberries, strawberries, green grapes) mixed with a gentle tart fruitiness. Prominent wheaty malts with notes of bread. The wheat delivers a slightly harsh character to the flavors. A hint of grass and earthy yeast. The vinous character grows stronger toward the finish. The finish is tart with just the slightest hint of vinegar and notes of white wine and hazelnuts. Overall, the taste is quite mild and a bit thin. Light body, semi-harsh and dry mouthfeel. Quite effervescent due to the lively carbonation. This is an interesting attempt at creating something different and quite amusing, and although I think it’s a decent beer, it’s too mild and thin to be interesting. And the taste is too focused on sweetness and fruit aromas for my liking, it’s too one-sided. It actually gets really boring after a while. Sure, there are some vinous qualities in it, but I’ve had plenty of beers that have been more reminiscent of wine than this one, and most of them are better than this. Bottled, thanks hanniku! Hazy reddish amber color. The aroma of cheap yeasty white wine. Vinous and acidic flavor with white wine, raspberry and some beery notes in the finish. Tastes like malty beer and white wine mixed, bad combo.

At the Ølfestival, Esbjerg, Denmark 23-10-09. Pours pinky/red with a touch of haze. This lacks a substantial bite but still its rather fruity and with a nice tang. Yep quite a fruititious little number, raspberries are the fruit that I’m getting. Not bad. A6 A3 F6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Fruitbeer with rasberry. Refreshing, sour, but ok. Perhaps it should have been a bit more sweet ? But a exiting new beer
