It’s a hazy, reddish brown beer with a small, dense, beige head. Dark malts, sugar, some chocolate and coffee and a hint of licorice in the aroma. The flavor is malty and sweet, with chocolate and licorice, some caramel. Malty finish with chocolate and some licorice, a bit low on bitterness I think. Full-bodied. A quite lovely one, especially like the licorice touch. (090517) OleR (2111), Oslo, Norway
