Bottle, 75cl corked, at Copenhagen Beerfestival. It’s a hazy, reddish brown beer with a small, dense, beige head. Dark malts, sugar, some chocolate and coffee and a hint of licorice in the aroma. The flavor is malty and sweet, with chocolate and licorice, some caramel. Malty finish with chocolate and some licorice, a bit low on bitterness I think. Full-bodied. A quite lovely one, especially like the licorice touch. (090517)

From bottle@Københavnske Øldage 2009. Dark brownish-red. Low beige head. Peppery malt aroma. Notes of sweet licorice and molasses. Taste starts sour-sweet malty before a massive sweetness sets in. Some roast and pepper and a faint smoke note. Sticky on the palate. Sweet ending.

Dark brown with a thin, tan head. Sweet and dry aroma of dark malts. Roasted caramel malts with notes of honey and brown sugar. A far too sweet porter (Sampled from a bottle at CBF, 15.05.2009) .
