22oz bottle pours a transparent, orangey copper with a thin, slightly clumpy white head. Aroma is extremely mild and a bit of a letdown. You’d expect a wet hop beer to be big on the nose, but this has only a little orange, a little earth, some light sweetness. Flavor has dry crackers, biscuits, oranges, some light lemon. Finish is thin, slightly dry, just a little lingering bitterness. Don’t really know what to say, extremely disappointing but then again, it’s Rogue.

Great concept that works for the most part. Pours out a golden amber with a small off white head that laces nicely. The aroma was not very prominent. Mostly malts and yeast. The flavor was very bitter with just a hint of the malty sweetness. Very dry finish. Nicely done.

A solid beer to be sure - but I was expecting it to be a bit more resinous and hop pungent. It is neither, just a well made beer with a solid if slightly tame hop bite at the finish.

A pretty crappy wet/ fresh hop beer. Where are the hops? I’ve had many pale ales that are hoppier than this. Pretty darn bland overall.

In short: A soft well balanced Session Pale Ale. Basic easy to drink brew.
How: Bottle 22oz, consumed fresh late October 2009, dinner with friends
The look: Almost clear golden-orange body topped by a small off-white head
In long: Nose is faint herbal and fruity hops. Body is lean with a smooth carbonation. Basic toasted bread and caramelized malt profile. Shy hops. For a so-called fresh-hop beer this really is not a hop bomb. Hops have no distinctive character, or maybe they lack assertiveness to have a character. A little herbal maybe, a little citrusy maybe, a little piney maybe, a little spicy maybe. A little something that doesn’t taste much. A dusty sensation from start to finish. Very mild bitterness. All in all the beer is really low-profile yet I found it pleasantly drinkable like I find a well balanced British Bitter pleasantly drinkable. If you’re hoping for fresh hop American IPA hop bomb you’re in for a disappointment. If you want a basic well balanced soft session ale, this does the job. I’ve been loosing sleep over an existential question. Can we use wet hops to dry hop a beer?

This one grew on me. Slightly dull looking amber orange body with a mainly lasting off-white head. Light caramel with pine notes and orange in the aroma. A little face warming in the taste, a touch grainy, a little brown sugar, not as much hops as I was expecting but knocked back a pint of this pretty quick.

Bottle, pours an orange body with a thin white head. Dusty herbal earth y tone, a bit light with some hints of grass but light with a rather malt equaling body. A balanced beer for sure but not what i’d hope for out of a wet/fresh hop.
