| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 16, 2009 Nose has moderate sour and slight cherry smell. Pours brown with a red hue, very little lacing. First sip is sweet with cherries but brown malt and sour enter quickly, carbonation sets up the sour finish nicely. Just a great beer start to finish. pompelmoes (52), Belgium
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 11, 2009 Beautiful red-brown in colour with fine off white head on top. Aroma is refreshing, with complex sour characteristics. Its slight woody with an outspoken wine like touch. The mouthfeeling is elegant and lively with fruity touches of sour pinot noir like wine. It has a nice bittering in the finale.
Great and complex beer ! mcberko (146), British Columbia, Canada

So easy to pair with food. Just pours a gorgeous oxblood color with an eggshell-white head and charming lace. The perfect amount of carbonation. In a tulip glass, the aromas are complex: attractive wood, dried cherries, & dates. Wonderful medium-heavy mouthfeel. The taste is at first sweet, then tart, then sweet again with every sip.
