Aroma of dark chocolate, sweeter dark malts - dark fruit. A little roast/coffee. Pours dark brown almost black, thin ring around the edge of the glass. A good deal of dark chocolate- both sweet and bitter. Dark fruit shows up and some dry roasted notes in the back end. Light bodied and a crisp clean-ish finish. A touch of booze in the end.

Pours dark black with little to no head. Aromas of bitter dark chocolate and cherries. Flavor was sweet with more chocolate, coffee and nice roasty notes. Overall a pretty good beer. Would pick it up again.

Picked up a single 500 ml bottle from Murray’s Wine & Spirits in Milwaukee, WI. Pours an opaque dark brown colored brew with a thick beige head that has some nice retention. Aroma of toasted dark malt, chocolate, coffee and some floral hops. Taste is full bodied, smooth, creamy with flavors of toasted dark malt, coffee, chocolate malt and a hint of caramel. Finish is semi-sweet, no bitterness with a soft chocolate and malt aftertaste. A pleasant surprise on this foreign porter.

Not really sure what is going on here... pours black and lovely with small tan head... looks promising. Shall I sniff it? Pray tell, why does this smell like fermented wheat and shoe polish? Fermented chocolate covered cherries as well. Something lactic as hell and sour and wrong is going on in this aroma. Something also alluring trying to fight its way to the surface, but overall this is just badness. Surely this is infected? Drainpour and bummer.

Bottled, Mahogany pour with a thin tan head. Dark chocolate malts with hints of caramel and dark fruit. Roasted fdry flavors make this one come alive. Damn good porter.

It pours jet black intimidation, goes down like molasses, hit’s you with a wicked 9.4 percent, then demands you thank it. Thank you Black Boss, may I have another?

500ml. color is dark brown black with ruby highlights. milk chocolate on the the nose with a mild lactic aroma, by that i mean a slight sourness is detected. sweet lightly roasted malt is also present. body is thinner than i anticipated but it does feel round on the tongue. the intermingling of chocolate and vanilla malt sweetness and mild sourness give it an almost barrel aged finish. a roasty malt flavor and mild but noticeable bitterness provide a fine conclusion. high alcohol goes unnoticed. reminds me more of a dopplebock but i see some porter elements to this brew.
