Sample #26 at 1st CST. Pours almost clear, slightly hazy, big bubbles, white sudsy head. Aroma of pool water, dusty, fantastically funky, brie, mellow cheese, sharp honey sweetness, love the funk. Flavor is quite dry, subtle hint of faded dried hops, light candy sweetness remains, perfect acidity, great woodiness. Fluffy light airy body that is exceptionally drinkable. Love this beer! Age has treated this phenomenally. Notes say "amazingly intriguing and elegant"

Bottle thanks to Andrew at the First Annual Chicago Sour Tasting. Wow, what a treat. Great caramally golden pour with a juicy white blooming head. Aroma is wonderful. Sour wood, sweet melon, gentle and elegant. Flavor is very mellowed and somewhat simple. Very dry, mild tartness, strong wood character, mild green grapes. What puts this beer above almost every other is its body. Silky smooth with a cloud like fluffiness.

Pours a hazed orange yellow with a foamy white head. Earthy funky and acidic aroma with some citrus and vinegar ... full and inviting. Citrus funky flavors of grapefruit resin, and a dirty oakiness. Smooth and lively carbonation that leaves the tongue tart and dry. Excellent brew. Thanks a ton andrew.

bottle. pours hazy golden with foamy white head. nose is sour, vinegar, grapefruit rind, and wood. flavors are very dry, woody, a very soft funky sourness but this is extremely smooth, dry, and simple - perfect. a great mouth feel that is lively and fluffy just begs for another sip. this is probably a gueze you could drink by the gallons with no problem.

Rating #1100. Bottle as part of the first annual Chicago Sour Tasting, thanks to Andrew. Cloudy amber orange with small to medium creamy white head. Aroma is dry as all hell with excellent fruit and wood, elegant. Flavor is really dry, wood, some tannins, all elegant and subtle, pretty amazing. Fluffy, silky, velvety. Pretty close to perfect , I could smell the aroma forever with the amazing body and flavor, this is just amazing, I can only imagine what this tasted fresh, but I love how it tastes now, very interesting next to regular oude geuze and vintage.

RBESG08. Hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma has earthy notes, with citrus and mint. Tart and earthy, very complex funky flavour. Not too acidic.

Bottle. Pours a nice golden slight haze, larger white head than many guezes, and some spotty cobwebby lace- good carbonation. Aroma is stinky, bretty,old oak and woodiness- with earthy leather, and with lots of fruitiness, tropical fruits, lemon lime, with good slate and chalk mineraliness, stone fruits, and pits, peachy, and a nice chalky candy like orange pez, with good lactic lemon and sea salt spray aromas. Flavor gets more acidic than the nose lets on- along with a bit more wood funk -stinky light horsey notes, mineral and light tropical fruits, peach, lemon zest, prickly acidity starts in the middle and goes all the way to the finish- with some cobwebby notes, old cheese, good sour funk. The high carbonation brings out the prickly sourness funk and almost an olive like brine which is very refreshing with the tartness. Great Gueze, and still holding up great.

Bottle. I haven’t had something quite this phenomenal in some time. Pours an orange bronze body with a fluffy white head. The aroma is in such balance its mid blowing, served next to the Millennium Gueuze, i sat back and forth with the two glasses in my hand debating why one was better than the other. Very smooth citrus character with a very low acidity, funky, honey hints in perfect blend. This was truly astounding. Cheers.
