500ml can. Dark amber with a 1/2 cm off-white head. Honey, almost gin like notes, floral, citrus hops on the nose. As for taste, some sweet caramel, slightly vegetal, and still floral. Malty bitter finish. May be mass produced, but pretty solid stuff.

On a can. For a widely available ale this rarely disappoints. Copper colour, thin head. Decent body. Strong barley flavour and moderately bitter with noticeable hops. Excellent beer throughout - and for me it sets the standard of what I expect from a very good Bitter ale.

Pours a flat, light amber with a small creamy white head. Bready, straw malts with grassy, grapefruit and perfume hops, although the nose takes some time to open up. Quick sweetness up front with a lingering bitter finish. Despite flat appearance, carbonation is lively on the palate. Makes for a well balanced pale ale.

on tap @ BBC in Sandwich MA, the thing about English beers is that even though we Americans can enjoy them for what they are, we are used to more body and flavor, especially an ale like this one that would resemble some of the east coast pale ales. taste and palate are fantastic, body is a little light, head and lacing are almost non-existant, but definitely a great session beer, very enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a minimal head. Subtle flavors of cereal and grass, accompanied by an initial sour taste that becomes bitter as it finishes.

500ml can poured into a mug. Poured a clear amber colour with a 3/4" bubbly head. The foam didn’t last long and only a bit of lacing was produced. Flowery & light caramel aromas. Smells inviting. Taste has a rather light malty caramel sweetness throughout with a metallic hop bite in the finish. The mouth feel has some creaminess yet feels a little thin. Easy to drink but not something I would want again and again.
