Pours a very deep golden color with an unusually large white head that lingers. The aroma of is mostly citrusy with hits of malt, yeast, and very light hits of baking bread. The taste is very very hoppy yet has a malty caramel quality that masks the alcohol. There is some mouth warming from the alcohol and its mouth feel is very pleasant overall. I would characterize it as having the a slightly heavy body for an IPA but about right for the doubles. The carbonation is spot on and its a refreshing, well balanced, easy drinker. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 1, 2010 Rating 1500! Bottle purchased at Half Time in Poughkeepsie. Awesome place, wish I had more time to wander around it.
Pours a bright coppery color with a large white foamy head. Head recedes to a small film with heavy lacing gripping the sides of the glass. Spaced out bubbles meander upwards. Nose is grassy and fruity with a light stickiness apparent also some apricots and such. Palate is nice and full, pleasant on in the mouth, sticky, chewy, stingy in the end with a filmy coating. Flavors are fruity up front, kind of like fruit stripes gum, with some more apricots and nectarines and a nice big bitter finish and a coated mouth. jasonp (1514), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 31, 2009 1 pt 0.9 oz bottle purchased at Bottle King in Hillsdale, NJ. Pours a mostly clear copper with a thick off-white head. Aroma is of medium strength, with some floral hops and tangerine. Flavor-wise, this is reminescent of a slightly stronger Bells Two-Hearted. Flavor is very heavy on the orange/tangerine/citrus side. There’s not really any pine presence. Pleasant level of malty sweetness. The bitterness is very balanced, but sufficient for an IPA (I wouldn’t consider this an IIPA). Medium bodied with a very smooth texture and moderate carbonation. Nice beer. smith4498 (960), Miami, Florida, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 30, 2009 Bottle: Poured a clear golden color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dominant citrus hops with light malt backbone. Taste is also dominated by loads of citrus hops with some definite bitter notes and a weaker then anticipated malt backbone. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well made though more malt presence would have benefited this beer. dkachur (2439), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

This particular one from j. Pours a pale amber color, clear, with a large creamy, frothy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of citrus hops. Taste is leafy, bitter hops with some toffee and nutty notes. Medium bodied, smooth. Straightforward and very drinkable. Ethereal (1707), London, Greater London, England
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 30, 2009 Cask at GBBF 2009, 4th Aug 09. Gold with a bubbly head. Fruity, hoppy aroma. On the tongue there’s alcoholic warmth as well as a pretty strong hop backbone. Very full bodied - in fact a bit too heavy for my liking. Bonster (120), Jersey Shore, New Jersey, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 27, 2009 One pint bottle from my local. Enjoyed at the first beer tasting with conspiring co-workers. A white pillowy head sits on top of this hazy golden pour. Lots of grapefruit in the nose, helloooo hops! The aroma is captivating...anxious anticipation of my first taste. Flavor is exceptionally well balanced between the hops and malt. Citrus and pine hops are not overpowering and allow the sweet malt to reveal itself ever so modestly. I appreciate the long lasting flavors that dance in my mouth...my favorite tasting of the evening by far.
