Commercial Description:
This mead is made with 100% tupelo honey. This sweet mead has very floral aroma and a little bit spicy. The rare tupelo tree grows only in a few parts of the world, making it one of the most celebrated, and expensive honeys.

Sampled during Great Taste of Midwest ’09 in Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a still very light pinot gris colored mead with a clean disk top and some thin viscosity tears inside the glass. Aroma of fresh sweet unpasteurized sweet honey (visit a honey farm to experience this) with some floral and unflavored gum. Taste is one of the sweetest honey I’ve ever tried. You can definitely detect the White Tupelo honey in the flavor which lacks some of the sugar character as in store bought varieties. Finish is silky smooth, with a soft honey aftertaste that even lingers a little after the finish. One of B. Nektar’s finest!

The first B. Nektar mead I tried at GTMW 09. A floral honey aroma that was very pleasant and unique. Supremely sweet in both aroma and flavor, like most well done meads this does not become cloying at all. A smooth finish as well.

Clear light golden color, no head, thinnish pour for a mead. Moderately floral aroma, some alcohol, not overly perfumey. Nice zip of alcohol and flowers up front, smooth heat on the back end. Low-key mead, but very tasty.

Piss off SoLan, I am first. Pours a glistening yellow. aroma is very floral with some alcohol present. Lighter notes of honeysuckle. Flavor is fully sweet, with the floral notes coming through again on the finish.
