Picked up a growler at the brewery. Pours black with thin head. Smells of coffee and slight smokiness. tastes like espresso and pretty light bodied for a Stout. Very drinkable i am enjoying and am very hungover

Draft at the local tonight with a light dinner. Moderate slate black with a thinner tan head. Medium body with mostly malt and light chalky tone. Maybe it was the 16 degree air blowing thru the joint that didnt let this critter warm to its optimal temp but it did not jump from the vessel and say oh wow. Creamy finish.

Sample from a growler hauled back from the east coast by psprings -- thanks, Paul! Pours coffee black with a creamy tan head. Smells and tastes predominantly of espresso roast, lactose, and sour red grapes. Not bad at all.

Draught at Barcade, New York
Black color. It has the expected aroma of coffee and roasted malts. Medium body, strong roasted malt flavor, and the same gives also some sourness. Strong bitterness. Not my kind.

Draft. Pours near black with a tan head. Huge coffee nose with roasted malts and a light sweetness. The flavor has espresso like coffee notes, roasted malts and dark chocolate. Not a very complex beer, but well put together, tasty, and super drinkable at 6% ABV.

Tap at Ginger Man. Pours a somewhat thick dark chocolate brown with a mocha head. Aroma is a mild, well-roasted coffee with plenty of sweet qualities, similar to a Manhattan Special. Flavor is similar to Manhattan Special as well with roasty goodness, espresso, and caramel. Very intense on the coffee/espresso. Unlike Brooklyn’s Intensified Coffee Stout, this one isn’t syrupy. Smooth, creamy, and wonderful.

32oz flip top filled at New Beer consumed very soon after. Pours is thick ass back with a light brown head. Aroma is coffee (not surprising) but nothing exciting. I am not a coffee fan but this seems like cheapo coffee as well. Taste is similar with a lot of mineral aspects. Its doable but a cop out brew for this brewery.

Special thanks to dchmela for the taste. Strong coffee aroma with some chocolate, malt and even a little vanilla in there.
